Is Life Complicated?

Is Life Complicated?
William Constantine

     Many people come to me and complain that life is too complicated. That they never feel like anything is going right. That as hard as they try to fix a situation it remains unresolved.  Blah, Blah, Blah ... you get the picture as we all have felt this way a time or two -- some more frequent than others.
I can understand, appreciate, and even empathize where their frustration and disappointment is coming from; yet, my answer, no matter the excuse, seems to be -- "Get out of your own way."
Our human conditioning tells us that we need to do this, this, and this in order to get a particular result. It also tells us that we need this, this, and this in order to sustain a job, a house, a car, support a family, etc.
     You've probably never really noticed the dictatorship of the democracy that we live in because it's so ingrained into our society. For example, as a child, many of us were told you need to go to school, get good grades, go to college, get better grades, get a degree, get a high paying job, buy nice things, etc. Yet, I can tell you many success stories where people went against this dictatorship mentality and have become some of the wealthiest people in the world.
So what's the truth?
     Well, honestly, the truth varies from person to person, experience to experience; however, there are a few core factors that remain the same.
     The Universe is an ever flowing constantly expanding energy stream -- the river of creation (or as I call it the Lifestream of Consciousness the Bloodforce of God).
Within this lifestream is never ending possibilities and constant creation opportunities. It's like the chocolate river in Wonka's factory -- a constant source for inspiration, intention, and creation.
     Sounds good doesn't it?

     What happens as physical beings is that we have become wrapped up in our own side quests -- so to speak. You know the things society tells us we need to live a successful, happy, healthy life. It creates the Go, Go, Go mentality and there is never time to stop and enjoy the beauty that surrounds you or more importantly the beauty that IS YOU.
     As we strive to create the perfect life we often feel as though we are missing something of value. Here is why ... Societies idealistic image of a perfect life isn't necessarily a life worth living but a life trying to make a living. So, this leaves us with the sense of feeling incomplete because to our spirit our life hasn't taken on any real value because we haven't seen our worth yet.
     It is through our deepest and "darkest" moments of life that the greatest blessings and treasures emerge -- if we choose to be aware of them.  We also when looking back at the scenario or experience need to remember the blessing that happened because of the experience -- everything happens for a reason.
     It is not for a rational mind to question the vastness and depths of the Universe because in the third dimension of reality we simply cannot fathom the reasoning but they do eventually unfold to our AH-HA MOMENT.
     Far to many people, choose to see complication rather than opportunity. For example, in your car ride on the way to work you hit traffic -- use this time to relax, unwind, enjoy your cup of coffee, and be at peace with the Universe. After all, it was the universe the created the traffic jam -- yes? So, while it may be easier to get frustrated, angry, and downright miserable it is also easy to shift your perception of the reality which will ultimately shift the course of the day.
     Within parenting it is easier just to do it for your child; many parents do this instead of allowing your child to find their own answer. In a lot of ways, this is blocking them from their divine connection to Universal Source ... it's what blocked you.
     We are far too busy being in a rush to nowhere -- we plan out the day like a mission.

Wake up
Brew Coffee or Tea
Set out clothes
Shower
Get Dressed
Drink Coffee or Tea
Eat Breakfast
Brush Teeth, Comb Hair
Go to work
Run Errands
Come Home
Make dinner
Eat Dinner
Do Dishes
Help Children with Homework
Tuck kids in bed
Watch TV

     Of course, there are things that get added into this mixture of chaos that cause even more stress and anxiety. Then we start saying things like "There is only one of me." Or "There are only so many hours in a day."
     This becomes the robotic nature of our human experience because we allow it to be this way. We have been conditioned to be, think, and act this way.
If something gets thrown in the mix -- What happens?
     Anxiety, pressure, stress -- you begin to feel that lack of control -- when in truth you didn't have control in the first place.
     We have a difficult time surrendering to the UNKNOWN -- it's a variable that many choose not to take a gamble on. However, if I were to tell you that if you were to embrace that which is UNKNOWN you would reap high paying rewards (not necessarily monetary in nature) -- would you take the gamble? Probably not, right because you don't have that guarantee; however, there are no guarantee's in life you hear that over and over again.
     I disagree ... I guarantee that if you do not participate and put yourself out there you will never experience that which you want to create. Bill Gates, Donald Trump, Martha Stewart, Oprah Winfrey -- do you not think they stepped into the UNKNOWN ... took a chance at life?
OF COURSE THEY DID ... AND WHERE ARE THEY NOW??

Can you imagine if J.K Rowling didn't take a chance at authoring a book -- the world would be without Harry Potter which has become ingrained into our history as it affected men, women, and children alike -- it is a phenomenon! It also allowed up and coming actors and actresses to star in a leading role in a blockbuster movie.
     How many of you don't do the things you enjoy because you don't think you can afford it?

Have you ever spent money that you felt you didn't have and more money came in? What we give to another we give to our self -- so why not be generous??!!
     If we do not participate in the exchange of energy (money, emotions, etc.) we cannot receive them back.

     Life becomes complicated when we go against the flow -- the grain of creation.

Kindle - Customer Reviews

5.0 out of 5 stars Kindle vs. Nook (updated 1/2/2011)August 28, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Kindle 3G Wireless Reading Device, Free 3G + Wi-Fi, 6" Display, 3G Works Globally - Latest Generation (Electronics)
If you're trying to choose between a Nook and a Kindle, perhaps I can help. My wife and I have owned a Nook (the original one, not the new Nook Color), a Kindle 2, and a Kindle DX. When Amazon announced the Kindle 3 this summer, we pre-ordered two Kindle 3's: the wi-fi only model in graphite, and the wi-fi + 3G model in white. They arrived in late August and we have used them very regularly since then. For us, Kindle is better than Nook, but Nook is a good device with its own advantages that I will discuss below. I'll end this review with a few words about the Nook Color.

First, reasons why we prefer the Kindle:

* Speed

In our experience, the Kindle is very zippy compared to the Nook. Page refresh speed (the time it takes a new page to appear after you push the page-turn button) was WAY quicker on Kindle 2 than on Nook, and it's quicker yet on Kindle 3. Yet, I read a whole book on the Nook and didn't find the slower page refresh to be annoying - you get used to it, and it's not a problem.

For me, the more important speed difference concerns navigation - moving the cursor around the screen, for example to pick a book from your library, or to jump to a chapter by selecting it in the table of contents. On Kindle, you do this by pushing a 5-way rocker button, and the cursor moves very quickly. On Nook, you do this by activating the color LCD touchscreen (which normally shuts off when not in use, to conserve battery). A "virtual rocker button" appears on the screen, and you touch it to move the cursor. Unfortunately, the Nook cursor moves very sluggishly. This might not be a big deal to you, but it really got annoying to me, especially since my wife's Kindle was so quick and responsive.

In November 2010, Nook got a software upgrade that increases page refresh speed and makes navigation more responsive. I returned my Nook months ago, so I cannot tell you if the Nook's performance is now equal to the Kindle's, but Nook owners in the comments section have convinced me that the software update improves the experience of using the Nook. If performance is a big factor in your decision, visit a Best Buy and compare Kindle and Nook side by side.

* Screen contrast

You've seen Amazon's claims that the Kindle 3 e-ink has 50% better contrast than Kindle 2 or other e-ink devices. I have no way of precisely measuring the improvement in contrast, but I can tell you that the Kindle 3 display definitely has more contrast than Kindle 2 or Nook. The difference is noticeable, and important: more screen contrast means less eyestrain when reading in poorly lit rooms.

In well-lit rooms, the Nook and Kindle 2 have enough contrast to allow for comfortable reading. But I often read in low-light conditions, like in bed at night, or in a poorly lit room. In these situations, reading on Nook or Kindle 2 was a bit uncomfortable and often gave me a mild headache. When I got the Kindle 3, the extra contrast was immediately noticeable, and made it more comfortable to read under less-than-ideal lighting conditions. (If you go with a Nook, just make sure you have a good reading lamp nearby.)

* Battery life

The Nook's color LCD touch screen drains its battery quickly - I could never get more than 5 days out of a charge. The Kindle 2 had longer battery life than the Nook, and Kindle 3 has even longer life: in the 3 months since we received our Kindle 3's, we typically get 3 weeks of battery life between charges. (We keep wireless off about half the time to save battery power.)

* Weight

Nook weighs about 3 ounces more than the new Kindle, and you can really feel the difference. Without a case, Nook is still light enough to hold in one hand for long reading sessions without fatigue. But in a case, Nook is a heavy sucker. The new Kindle 3 is so light, even in a case, we find it comfortable holding in one hand for long reading sessions.

Reasons some people might prefer the Nook:

* In-store experience

If you need help with your nook, you can take it to any barnes and noble and get a real human to help. You can take your nook into the coffee shop section of your local B&N store and read any book for free for up to one hour per day. When you take your nook to B&N, some in-store special deals and the occasional free book pop up on your screen.

* User-replaceable battery

Rechargeable batteries eventually lose their ability to hold a charge. Nook's battery is user-replaceable and relatively inexpensive. To replace Kindle's battery, Amazon wants you to ship your Kindle to Amazon, and they will ship you back a DIFFERENT Kindle than the one you sent (it's the same model, for example if you send a white Kindle 3, you get a white Kindle 3 back, but you get a "refurbished" one, NOT the exact one you sent them). I don't like this at all.

However, several people have posted comments here that have eased my concerns. Someone looked up statistics on the Kindle's battery and did some simple calculations to show that it should last for 3 or more years. Before that happens, I will surely have upgraded to a newer Kindle model by then. Also, someone found some companies that sell Kindle batteries at reasonable cost and have how-to videos that demonstrate how we can replace the battery ourselves. Doing this would void the Kindle's warranty, but the battery will probably not fail until long after the warranty expires.

* ePub

Nook uses the ePub format, a widely used open format. Amazon uses a proprietary ebook format. Many libraries will "lend" ebooks in the ePub format, which works with nook but not kindle. However, a free and reputable program called Calibre allows you to translate ebooks from one format to another - it supports many formats, including ePub and Kindle. The only catch is that it doesn't work with copy-protected ebooks, so you can't, for example, buy a Kindle book (which is copy protected) and translate it to ePub so you can read it on a Nook.

* Nook's color LCD touchscreen

The original Nook has a small color LCD screen on the bottom for navigation. This could be a pro or con, depending on your preferences. It makes the Nook hipper and less drab than Kindle. Some people enjoy using the color LCD to view their library or navigate. I did, at first. But after two weeks of use, and comparisons with my wife's Kindle, I found the dedicated buttons of the Kindle easier and far quicker to use than the Nook's color touchscreen. I also found the bright light from the color screen distracting when I was trying to read a book or newspaper (though when not in use, it shuts off after a minute or so to conserve battery).

* expandable capacity

Nook comes with 2GB of internal memory. If you need more capacity, you can insert a microSD card to add up to 16GB more memory. Kindle comes with 4GB of internal memory - twice as much as Nook - but there's no way to expand that. Kindle doesn't accept memory cards of any type. If you mainly use your device to read ebooks and newspapers, this shouldn't be an issue. I have over 100 books on my Kindle, and I've used only a tiny fraction of the memory. Once Kindle's memory fills up, just delete books you don't need immediate access to; you can always restore them later, in seconds, for free.

A few other notes:

Kindle and Nook have other features, such as an MP3 player and a web browser, but I caution you to have low expectations for these features. The MP3 player on the Kindle is like the first-generation iPod shuffle - you can't see what song is playing, and you can't navigate to other songs on your device. I don't like the browser on either device; e-ink is just not a good technology for surfing the web; it's slower and clunkier than LCD screen technology, so even the browser on an Android phone or iPod touch is more enjoyable to use. However, some commenters have more favorable views of either device's browser, and you might, too.

* ebook lending

If you have a Nook or a Kindle, you can "lend" an ebook you purchased to someone else with the same device for up to two weeks. The Nook has always had this feature. The Kindle just got this feature as of December 2010. Most but not all purchased ebooks are lendable, due to publisher restrictions.

* PDF support

Kindle and Nook both handle PDF files, but in different ways. When you put a PDF file on your nook, nook converts it into an ebook-like file, then you can adjust the font size, and the text and pagination will adjust just like with any ebook. But you cannot see the original PDF file in the native format in which it was created. Kindle 3 and Kindle DX have native support for PDF files. You can see PDF files just as they would appear on your computer. You can also convert PDF files to an ebook-like format, and then Kindle handles them just the way the Nook handles them - text and pagination adjust when you change the font size. Unfortunately, some symbols, equations, and graphics get lost or mangled in the translation - even when viewing PDF files in their native format on the Kindle. Moreover, the small screen size of the Kindle 3 and the Nook is not great for PDF files, most of which are designed for a larger page size. You can zoom and pan, but this is cumbersome and tiresome. Thanks to commenters who suggested viewing PDF files in landscape mode on the Kindle (I don't know if you can do this on Nook); this way, you can see the entire top half of the page without panning, and then scroll down to the bottom half. This works a little better.

SUMMARY:

Nook and Kindle each offer their own advantages. We like the nook's user-replaceable battery, compatibility with ePub format, and in-store experience. But we strongly prefer Kindle 3 because its performance is zippier, its higher-contrast screen is easier to read, and it's smaller and lighter so it is more portable and more comfortable to hold in one hand for long reading sessions.

* Nook Color

Everything I wrote about the Nook in this review applies to the original Nook (which continues to be available), not the new Nook Color. To me, the Nook Color is in a different product category than the Kindle or original Nook. Nook Color has an LCD screen, like an iPad or most computer monitors. That's a big disadvantage for people like me, who get headaches from reading a computer screen for long periods of time. Amazon's Kindle product page has an informative section on e-ink vs. LCD displays.

But many people don't have problems reading from computer screens, and the Nook Color is getting glowing reviews in the press and by owners. For the money, it offers a lot of functionality such as a good web browser and the ability to play games and watch movies. But keep in mind: it costs a lot more than the Kindle, it weighs nearly twice as much, it doesn't come in a 3G version, and (unlike the original Nook) the Nook Color doesn't have a user replaceable battery.

5 Money Making Opportunities on Facebook

Hi! I'd like share you this article. Hope you find it useful. (original article from this site, http://mashable.com/2007/07/26/money-making-facebook/)
With the release of its new platform, Facebook’s recent endeavor in social media presents a unique opportunity for marketers, developers and businesses to tap into the social network’s young, active, and viral crowd.
However, over the past few weeks there has been a rising concern among developers to uncover ways to monetize their Facebook applications. The curse of instant online success is that you can no longer sustain expensive servers to support hundreds and thousands (or even millions) of Facebook users. The question: how can the developers of Facebook apps actually make money? We don’t have all the answers yet, but here are 5 suggestions:
1. SELL. Develop applications solely for the purpose of selling them to interested parties. Several applications have already been acquired in this fashion; the most recent example is that of Mozes’ purchase of TextMe.
2. DEVELOP. An indirect source of funds: develop applications under contract for third parties. A number of companies have been posting contract jobs over at the Facebook’s developer forums. There exists a large gap in the supply and demand of available Facebook application developers; as a result, finding potential clients to charge reasonable rates should not be a hassle.
3. ADVERTISING. Use advertisements, cross-promotion schemes and affiliate marketing. It is not feasible to use Google Adsense for this since Facebook does not allow JavaScript embedding. Adsense may be embedded through iFrames, which despite being popular among Facebook developers, is against Google’s TOS. Affiliate marketing is a great alternative to advertisements; my own source of income on Facebook is generated through Amazon’s affiliate marketing.
4. MICROPAYMENTS. Sell services within Facebook through micro-payment transactions. PayPal payments made for accessing premium services could potentially yield reasonable income depending on the application’s purpose, size, and prospective users.
5. GET INVESTMENT. If you think you have something big on your hands and lack the funds to scale it, apply for investment through Bay Partners and others who have expressed interest in funding Facebook apps. This would be the likely course of action for a startup with plans to expand globally within and beyond Facebook.

——————
Facebook has a huge active community. It is reported that of the 29 million active users, about half log in each day. This is a rarity among Web 2.0 companies (comparatively, Google Videos has about 3% active users). IfFacebook can convince its users to shell out $1 to send those silly virtual “gift” images to each other, then surely a clever developer or startup can find other approaches to earning money from a Facebook application that do not involve just drowning their users in ads.
Due to the pace of innovation over the web, it is imperative that companies jump on opportunities like these as they turn up. LinkedIn and Bebo are expected to release their own set of developer APIs as well; I personally cannot wait to be among the first to tap into that opportunity. I advise others to start planning as well.

How to Become a Money Magnet

Hi! I've come across this article over the internet and I couldn't help but share this one. (Original article found in this link... http://www.selfgrowth.com/articles/How_to_Become_a_Money_Magnet.html)

"

Do you intend to become an irresistible MONEY MAGNET?"

Then, get busy activating the universal LAW OF ATTRACTION Here are some steps you can take right away.

1. Eliminate from your mind any beliefs in lack of money

2. Eliminate from your mind the belief that "it is hard to make money"

3. Eliminate from your mind the belief that it is only possible to make money through a hard, painful, limiting job

4. Eliminate from your mind any belief in debt. This insidious belief will keep you in debt

5. Eliminate from your mind any belief in LOSS. This destructive belief will make you lose what little you may have

6. Eliminate from your mind limiting thoughts such as "It is too expensive", "I cannot afford it", "There is never enough", "I never have enough"

7. Open your mind to receive money from any source and any direction, even in the most unexpected ways

8. Start to appreciate, love and even bless whatever amount of money you now have. Say to yourself "Money is good. Money is wonderful. I love money and money loves me". This will signal your mind and the universe to send you even more money

9. Eliminate from your mind any resentment, condemnation or criticism of rich people. These thoughts will keep money away from you

10. Appreciate all the wealth and riches surrounding you. Appreciate the riches and wealth of others. Use the HUNA technique and whenever you see something you desire for yourself bless it and also bless its owner.

11. Always be thankful and grateful for whatever money you have. These attitudes will attract more money into your life and multiply it

12. Appreciate and even bless every dollar bill (of any denomination) or any coins you come in contact with

13. Love yourself and always put yourself first.

14. Remember to always pay yourself first. Pay your creditors AFTER you have paid yourself. This behavior will send a clear signal to your Subconscious mind and the entire universe that you always come first and that you deserve wealth

15. Believe you were born to win, you were born to be rich and that you deserve to be wealthy simply because you were born on this planet. That's reason enough for you to have wealth

16. Take some time during the day and imagine how you will use the wealth you have. In your imagination, buy that house, that car, those thingsyou desire. Let go of the thought that "I cannot afford it"

17. Instead of worrying about any money problems, do your best to WORRY about all the money coming your way and how in the world you are going to spend it to make you and others happy. Really WORRY about it

18. Do your best to start ACTING AS IF you are already rich, a millionaire. Constantly ask yourself "How/what would a millionaire think or speak in this situation?" Then, think and speak from that millionaire mindset.

19. Constantly keep telling yourself over and over that "It is real easy for me to make money, as much money as I desire"

20. Keep telling yourself over and over every single day that "I am a money magnet. I attract money like a magnet. I attract money quickly, easily, effortlessly and having fun. Money is now coming to me from every source and every direction in avalanches of abundance."

21. The Subconscious responds very well to very exact amounts of money. Therefore, set a definite amount of money you want to attract into your life. Keep telling yourself over and over that you are attracting that amount quickly, easily, effortlessly and having FUN!

As you practice the steps mentioned above, your MONEY BLUEPRINT will change and you will start attracting more and more money into your life -- the EASY way.
